Rugby Championship: Australia ends on a good note for … – The Point

After two heavy defeats of entry, the Australian has finished on a high note and in the second place the Rugby Championship after his victory against Argentina (33-21) Saturday at Twickenham on the occasion of the first match of the competition played in the Northern hemisphere.

The competition ends better than it started for the Wallabies, the supporters of the title rossés by the untouchable All Blacks during the first two days but finally the second after having won three of their four matches following.

For the Pumas, the tournaments that follow and resemble each other because they have again failed to win a second game in a same edition as last year.

To do this, and confirm their success in the face of South Africa during the second day (26-24), they would have to commit many fewer errors.

They were thus virtually offered the victory to the Australian in a sort of contrast to the semi-finals of the last world Cup, won it is a little less than a year by the Wallabies on this same turf of Twickenham.

Picked cold by a test of Adam Coleman (7), they gave the following two, listed by Samu Kerevi: losing touch in their 22 metres on the first (40) then they were in numerical superiority, because of a chance of Guido Petti recovered by the australian centre on the second (51).

Led 25 to 15 after this test, they will never come back. They are as close as four points (71) after a penalty of Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias, but Bernard Foley responded four minutes later before a final trial of Dean Mumm (77) which sealed the victory for australia.
