The chocolate “French”, held its 22nd annual trade show in Paris, porte de Versailles, until Tuesday 1 November, betting on the quality and the diversity of the origins of the cocoa beans and the know-how of its great chocolatiers. The French are far from being the biggest consumers of chocolate in the world (seven kilograms per capita per year, compared to ten kilos in the United Kingdom and twelve kilos in Switzerland), but their taste is much more oriented towards the dark chocolate with high cocoa content. The living room grants this year, a special welcome desk in Japan, with pastry stars, tastings and surprises, such as ” sushi flavored with cocoa “, or even spectacular sculptures made in chocolate.
