This seems clear : 2017 could well be the year of the release of the first smartphone-screen foldable. Samsung, who wants to be part of the pioneers in this field, would be on the point of presenting a first marketable product after years of development. According to the website to south Korean ET News, Samsung may take advantage of the Consumer Electronics Show or Mobile World Congress to present a first smartphone with two screens linked together by a thin hinge. So this is not a screen foldable, strictly speaking.
The mobile offer three configurations : folded in two for transport, open to 360 degrees with a screen in front and another on the back and finally open flat for display type tablet. We can therefore imagine that the layout of the interface and functionality will adapt to the design scalable. According to ET News, this smartphone aims to assess the interest of consumers. A test in actual conditions that will be used to develop two other models to screen foldable the output of which and the design will be determined by this first experiment. A strategy very similar to that for driving with the Galaxy Round, which was the precursor to the Galaxy Note Edge and S6 Edge. (Eureka Presse)
