Note 7 : Samsung intensifies the deactivations remotely – ZDNet France

The goal for Samsung is the same : to avoid a new incident or a casualty, the group does everything to retrieve the Note 7 already sold. Different recall programs have been put in place anywhere in the world but some users prefer to override this and keep their phablet. Despite the risks of explosion, reminders, and raises.

Samsung does not want to take any risk, deactivations distance will therefore be made. After New Zealand, a similar operation will be conducted in Australia from 15 December. Concretely, the world number one has approached mobile operators premises in order to prevent the Note 7 to connect to their respective networks, for voice or data.

“the interruption of The network will begin from the 15th of December and is part of the security measures for Samsung to recover all of the Galaxy Footnote 7. The customers of the Galaxy Footnote 7 in Australia have responded well to the recent recall, with only a small number of affected devices still in the hands of customers.”, explains the world number one in a press release.

This remote disablement could affect other countries. Interviewed by our care in October, Samsung France is not confirmed but not denied not. The press service told us that the firm “is exploring all options to achieve the faster the return of all the Galaxy Note 7 is still in circulation”.

at the same time, according to The Investor, the giant south Korean could finally communicate about the reasons for these explosions to repeat before the end of the year. A new team of engineers plancherait on the issue. And it would appear once again that the battery is not the only issue in this series of incidents.
