Samsung has recovered more than 80 % of the Galaxy Note 7 sold – Frandroid

Since it has removed the phablet market, Samsung has recovered more than 80 % of the Galaxy Note 7 is marketed. The giant south Korean has repatriated $ 2.7 million across the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 5

In addition to preparing its future Galaxy S8 to the year 2017, Samsung is always busy repatriating its Galaxy Note 7 to be defective within the framework of his campaign for reimbursement. The latest phablet released by the firm has experienced a failure due to a manufacturing problem that caused the explosion of too many models. For obvious safety reasons, the manufacturer has prohibited its use, and strongly communicated the importance of returning this phone to get another.

Since the decision to remove this model from the market, at the beginning of October, 2.7 million of Galaxy Note 7 — on the 3.06 million sold across the world — have been returned to Samsung. This equates to a return rate of over 80 %. The giant south Korean company is now on track to eventually repatriate all of its smartphones at risk.

update and deadlocks

Inevitably, some users diehards refuse to separate themselves from their terminal in spite of all the warnings. In Australia, Canada and the United States, the imminent launch of an update has been announced to force these customers to abandon their Galaxy Note 7. With this update, they will no longer be able to call, send SMS or connect to Wi-Fi. They will not be able to recharge their phone.

Europe is also concerned, as blockages equivalents will be made in France and the United Kingdom from the 15th of December.

The fault in the design

Samsung is still investigating the reasons of explosions of the Galaxy Note 7. Engineers third parties have also conducted their own analyses and have found that the problem came from the design of the smartphone. This last is not leaving enough “breathing” battery and causing its explosion.
