Hospitals and clinics now with a note of satisfaction … – Europe1

hospitals and clinics will now be given of the satisfaction scores of patients, published for the first time Thursday on the site Scope Health, according to the High authority of Health (HAS). The satisfaction score obtained by the care facilities, which presents itself under the form of a rating out of 100, which is an additional data element to choose and compare a hospital or clinic, on the website launched by the HAS in 2013. Published on Thursday, levels of satisfaction, which relate to the moment of 403 facilities, are divided between four groups, ranging of the best, in dark green (11% institutions 44 institutions), passing by the bright green and yellow, to the less good, in red (24%, 95 institutions) that have a score lower to 70.7.

Four themes noted by the patients. This overall score is constructed from the responses to the questionnaire which have responded to since April 56.759 patients. The questions focused on four themes : home, support, room and board, organization of the output. For 11% of establishments in the group of the best, 76 % of patients would recommend “definitely” the institution to their friends and family and 80% would return if they were to be re-hospitalized for the same ailment. For 24 % of the facilities the poor, only 47% of patients would recommend the institution to their friends and family and only 57% would be willing to come back for the same reason.

A very good support. according To the questionnaire, which covers 983 institutions, the “support” saves the best result with a score of 80.7 out of 100. Listening to caregivers, the explanations are part of the elements taken into account. Thus 87 % of the patients indicate that they have received answers to their questions, and 91% were satisfied with their clarity. By contrast, the level of satisfaction is “average” for the home (score of 72.7, or 7/10), in particular because of the accessibility (transportation, parking, signage) of the institution which has satisfied that 63.3% of patients.

The meal is considered bad. 91.9 per cent, however, were found to the home by the care services as good or excellent. The satisfaction score is “insufficient” – especially for the organization of the output, with a quarter of the dissatisfied patients – but also for the room and, without surprise, for the quality of the meal (considered a very poor 11.6%). In addition, a second patient wished to participate in the decisions. Among them, 7 out of 10 were able to do so. And 87% of patients are satisfied with the support of their pain.
