After the discontinuation of the sale of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung had to launch a massive recall procedure. The firm appears to be holding the right end.

The problems of explosion of the Galaxy Note 7 will have caused much ink to flow in 2016, but Samsung is expected to progressively be able to move on to something else. Even if it cost him several billion euros, the recall procedure has been particularly effective in view of the number of smartphones recovered.

Track the latest smartphones defective

In fact, the manufacturer claims that 96 % of the Galaxy Note 7 have been returned. There would be, therefore, that 4 % defective devices in the wild. The returns continue to multiply, since they were estimated at 80% last December.

The Korean explains that the success of the procedure is due to a particularly “aggressive” used to restrict the use of smartphones in question.

” The aggressive action put in place to limit the ability of phones remaining to function as a mobile device “

use Restrictions

It must be said that Samsung didn’t go of dead hand out an update preventing the Note 7 to be charged beyond 30 %. Suffice to say that it is extremely difficult to use, even when it would be functional.

The campaign return and exchange carried out in parallel, it has obviously accelerated things. It only remains, therefore, only a few tens of thousands of devices in the wild. But the Korean happens to catch them all ?
