Portugal-S & P raises the rating to BB +, stable outlook – Bourse Les Echos

September 18 (Reuters) – Standard & amp; Poor’s announced Friday it had raised the sovereign rating of Portugal from BB to BB +, while lowering the perspective of “positive” to “stable”.

“The economic recovery and fiscal consolidation in Portugal continues under our expectations, pushing the net public debt to GDP ratio on a declining path after 15 consecutive years of rising, “said the rating agency to explain the increase in the note.

It anticipates further continuity policies to these results, whatever the outcome of the parliamentary elections in October.

“The stable outlook puts beside our projections of a widespread economic recovery and a gradual fiscal consolidation with the risk of a weakening external environment and growth of private sector deleveraging which drags on, “the agency said.
