On the model of TripAdvisor or Yelp, which evaluate businesses or hotels, a website offers patients noted hospitals and clinics, a move greeted with caution by health actors.
Called “Hospitalidee.fr”, the site aims to be a “health democracy tool,” according to its founder, Loic Raynal, a former Toulouse EDF Agent 40 who says to have had the idea when motherhood his wife.
“We consider that France has an excellent level of care. It does not matter to note the quality of the care itself. However, we are interested in “taking care” and that’s a matter of organization, “he said. Dressed in pink and green, the website to search for a property on a map, and select a service: gynecology, paediatrics or emergencies. The initiative was welcomed by the interassociative Collective Health (CISS), which represents patients.
