France: Moody’s degraded his note to ‘Aa2′ – The Express

The rating agency Moody’s said Friday that it had downgraded the sovereign rating of France by one notch, from “Aa1″ to “Aa2″.

The prospect, which was ‘negative’ so far, going parallel to “Aa2″.

In a statement, Moody’s supports its decision (1) continued low growth prospects of France, the agency sees last until the end of the decade (2) difficulties of this low growth in terms of reduction of public debt.

With this development, France is now estimated similarly by the three main rating agencies.

Michel Sapin, French finance minister, noted the shift to “Aa2″ the note from Moody’s, while evoking a recovery that ‘diffuse’ and policies that are working.

‘The latest information available, both in economic and budgetary testify to the government’s ability to revive the economy with higher growth and more jobs, with fiscal sanitized’, has assured the resident of Bercy.
