The Asian Confederation (AFC), which supported the re-election of Sepp Blatter for the presidency of FIFA has reacted soberly to his resignation. In a terse statement, the AFC said “take note” the withdrawal of Switzerland. “The AFC is monitoring the situation closely and will discuss with its member associations and the other confederations to find the best way forward to FIFA and the world football” , she added .
Chaired by Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain), AFC sent a sign of confidence in the single opponent Blatter for the presidency of FIFA, Prince Ali of Jordan, removing his vice Asian -president FIFA post-conference.
