S&P says the rating of the United States after the victory of Trump – Invest

November 10 (Reuters) – Standard & Poor’s has confirmed the rating of “AA+” of United States in the aftermath of the unexpected victory of the republican candidate Donald Trump in the us presidential election, the rating agency highlighting the institutional forces of the country.

The perspective attached to this note is also confirmed to be stable.

At the end of a long election night, the victory of Donald Trump was announced to 07: 30 GMT on Wednesday when it emerged that it had gathered more than 270 electoral college on 538, the absolute majority required for access to the presidency.

The republicans retain at the same time the control of the House of representatives and the Senate.

“We start from the principle that the institutional forces of long-standing United States as well as the robustness of the balance of power will contribute to the implementation of the programme policy of an administration Trump in spite of the lack of experience of the president-elect in the public service (..)”, said Standard & Poor s.

The rating agency adds that the new high of the public debt of the United States as well as increased uncertainty about the trajectory of this debt limit the appreciation potential of the notes of the country.
