Samsung presents its official apology by posting messages in the american journals, the most lusÉ : the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
Samsung has never hidden the failures of the Galaxy Note 7 and today, the brand apologized publicly by using whole pages of the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. The messages, written entirely in English, are addressed especially to their american customers, and hold the pages paid, dedicated traditionally to the advertising. It is in the United States that accidents are the most problematic with the Galaxy Note 7, that occurred. Not to mention the case, which begins, involving many accidents of washing machines.
However, the message also shows that Samsung is seeking to regain the credibility lost : “One of the important principles of our mission, is to offer a quality and a safety premium on our products. Recently, we have not kept that promise. We are really sorry. ” The Korean promises better control, more serious and more responsible, in the analysis and development of software, the hardware of the production and, especially, the structure of the batteries.
The Korean company reminds us, as well, that safety is its first priority. However, his renaissance may be as long as it is difficult : its last quarter was disappointing and even the quality of its appliances, which were one of the pillars of its market, has been questioned. For the next year, Samsung is preparing to launch new products, including a Galaxy S8 which will put the package on the artificial intelligence. Remains to be seen if that will be enough to overcome the current crisis.
