Blue Note Sonos Play1 Limited Edition - Geeks and Com -9

Sonos announced it a few weeks ago a limited edition of its top connected speaker Play 1 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the famous Blue Note jazz label. Offered at 2 000 copies in Europe and 2,000 copies for North America (Canada and United States), orders for this model opened last Thursday and it only took a few hours for all copies are sold

We already test the Sonos Play:. 1 above, and this article is not intended to present the operation or quality of the speaker, but what sets this limited edition version classic.

When we receive the product, well packaged as always with Sonos, it becomes immediately realize that the brand has paid great attention to the box and everything that surrounds the product . So instead of being black and purple, the box is completely dressed in blue, with the Sonos logo of the same color. A mention is also present to indicate that it is a limited edition.

The opening of the box confirms this attention to detail, with a box blue box containing the usual documentation Sonos and a small illustrated guide simply called “Born in Blue. “And returns to the Blue Note history and genesis of the partnership with Sonos. The key phrase summarizing this partnership is “The most natural collaborations are those that do not require effort and Sonos, and Blue Note work together very easily.”

Finally comes the time to find the speaker in itself. The finish is excellent as usual and the blue color is really successful. If online video put on the website of Sonos let fear too plastic case with a thin layer of paint, it is not so and the whole exudes quality. Dark blue gradient loudspeaker from top to bottom light blue gives a classy look to the speaker, especially playing with the shadows. Of course, device personalization is found just to the last detail with the power cable which is also blue.

Each speaker is signed underneath by Don Was, president of Blue Note Records and musician in the prolific career. We regret, however, that each model is not numbered, or at least are marked with the number of units produced, which probably would delight collectors.

In terms of content, finally, the launch of the limited edition Blue Note Sonos Play: 1 is accompanied by the availability of three radio stations Tune-In. Both are available to all owners of Sonos, while the third is only available to buyers of the limited edition. So we can only congratulate Sonos thank its longstanding customers by not reserving the content and the latest models sold

In conclusion, the Sonos Play: 1. Limited Edition Blue Note is a superb object for both fans of the brand as Sonos Jazz lovers. Sold still 60 dollars or 50 euros more than the base model, however, it is a niche product, which limited edition status finally agreed rather well.
