Galaxy Note 4: Why Android Lollipop update delayed so much? – Phonandroid

Date last updated: March 30, 2015 to 16 h 54 min

If recent months, Samsung has done an admirable job offer Android Lollipop update very quickly on the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 4 still waiting for his. For now, the Phablet received the latest version of the Google OS only in South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands and in some US operators but France and other markets still waiting . Why so long?

When you know that some older or other less common terminal models like the Galaxy S4 Active Galaxy S5 or more (in the Nordic countries only) and even the Galaxy Note Edge now run on the latest version of the OS and not the Note 4 there something to ask questions. Especially since it is not in in Samsung habits that always favors the most recent and most popular devices.

While it is true that initially making Lollipop day of Phablet was delayed by the Gear VR helmet, knowing that it is available in some markets but not yet distributed globally remains quite incomprehensible. Moreover, the Netherlands hand, Note 4 has recently been updated with a new firmware. Based on Android 5.0.1, the new build of Google abandons the interruptions system that is seen here replaced by a “real” silent and mode “Do not disturb” TouchWiz.

Is it in order to directly distribute this new version update deployed last month has left the German borders? It could actually be a plausible explanation. However, in that case, why the new build has been distributed as the Netherlands?

In addition, contrary to the latest rumors that Samsung has decided to integrate the new version of TouchWiz that ‘found on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to the next Android update 5.1 of the Phablet, SamMobile said this morning that, for now, Samsung had not yet started work on version 5.1.

Finally, although the update is already deployed in some markets, it is also possible that Samsung still working on before releasing its software globally. This would mean that the partial deployment is a kind of test to make sure that the update has no bug before deploying it across all markets. Pen-specific features often require some adjustments and whichever is the assurance of having a software without any bugs, it will always be a blessing in disguise.

Whatever happens delay is frustrating when you know what improvements it has made on the S5, both in performance as the autonomy because we imagine it will probably be the same for that Phablet impatiently waiting to be updated in turn. Just remains to be seen when
