CAC 40: Towards the beginning of the week on a note of weakness. – ABC Bourse


(CercleFinance.com) – After a 0.4% Friday, the Paris Bourse is expected to begin on a note of weakness Monday morning at the edge of a week that should allow investors to learn more about the health of the European economy.

Early indications available, the CAC 40 index is expected to open on a fall day of the order of 15 points to 4187 points.

Operators will include knowledge in the coming days, the latest European PMI and ZEW index measuring investor sentiment in Germany.

After the limited GDP in the euro area in the third quarter (+ 0.2%) progression, these data provide valuable information about the economic situation in the euro area and the likelihood that the central bank (ECB) announced new monetary easing in the coming months.

Mario Draghi, the ECB president should just speak in the afternoon before the Commission business Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) in Brussels.

In Japan, the economy has entered a technical recession in the third quarter by signing a contraction of 0.4% after a decline in GDP of 1.9% the second quarter.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange has corrected by almost 3% after the announcement.

The earnings season now nearing its end and only a few distributors quenching Home Depot , Target and Gap have yet to unveil their quarterly accounts across the Atlantic this week.

This morning, Sanofi announced that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finally approved the Lemtrada its subsidiary Genzyme in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
