The French Olympic champion Florent Manaudou has emerged on his favorite distance of 50 m free by signing a good time (21.70) at the France Championships Sunday in Limoges. Manaudou had achieved a best time in the morning rounds, 21 sec 57, is the best world performance of the year. He earned his ticket on the remote for the World-2015 organized this summer in Kazan, Russia, from 2 to 9 August. The second ticket is returned to Clement Mignon (22.08).
Manaudou was eager to finish the competition on a bang after just shined during the week. Tuesday, he won the 50 butterfly and validated his ticket to the World Championships, but the clock was not up to the goals of a global podium. On Thursday, he failed to take his ticket on the 50 backstroke, beating the world champion, Camille Lacourt and the vice world champion, Jeremy Stravius .
