Caen approaches the holding - Debrief and NOTES players (Nantes 1-2 Caen)

Nkoudou Kante and the fight

Caen had never won in Nantes. This is now done. After three games without success, victory (1-2) has been slow to emerge, but the self-sacrifice of the Normans was eventually rewarded. Success on the wire but extremely valuable because it allows them to take six points clear of the relegation zone.

Effective Nantes, Caen unlucky

After ten minutes fairly quiet but dominated by Nantais, the first opportunity was right for the Canaries and Bedoya that cropped up in front of goal to take a long key that the defense could not intercept (11th, 1 0). Before a slowdown after 25 minutes, the men of Der Zakarian were first mastered them globally, with a good collective strength.

They then escaped being punished just before the halftime by long rough Caen but had rebalanced the ball. First, Djilobodji Koita departed into the surface, a move that could have cost a penalty. Seconds later, Privat hit the post at the reception of a center … The SMC has finished the first act and Nantes had to regroup under penalty of being caught up in the score.

Caen logically rewarded

After the break, Caen kept his momentum. Nantes no longer showed much offensively, shrank, folded. But despite its ascendancy in the game, teammates Feret failed to conclude. The minutes ticked by and Garande beginning to doubt. But after a shot against the post Lemar, Feret caused a penalty in contact with Audel and Sala was in charge of the award (sp 80th, 1-1). A deserved equalizer for Caen.

But the best was yet to come for them. After having a hot little head above Djilobodji, Lemar finally gave the victory to his team from a far-kick which eluded everyone and came to into the top corner (90 + 2: 1-2 ). What a denouement

The note of the game: 5.5 / 10

A suspenseful game with a stop twists. If the technical level has not peaked, the Caen showed great mental qualities and self-sacrifice to win this win against the Canaries have generally been rather disappointing despite a good start.

The player notes:

Coming soon …

Goals

– Over a long played key to the Caen area, Da Silva and Saad fail to intercept. Bedoya appeared in front of goal to shoot Vercoutre at close range. (11th, 1-0)

– On outbound deflected corner at the near post, Feret control and underwent his second obstruction Audel. The referee refers to the penalty spot and Sala is supported with a striking full-axis. (Sp 80th, 1-1)

. – On a distant kick slightly right, Lemar wraps his shot to the surface. At the reception, the players jostle and none manages to touch the ball bouncing and ends up in the window with the help of the cross! The Caen are overjoyed! (90 + 2: 1-2)
