[Poll] The Galaxy Note Edge is there a gadget or innovation? – Phonandroid

In pre IFA conference September 3, Samsung has surprised the audience by revealing not only the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4, but also the Galaxy Note Edge, a phablette curved which echoes some characteristics Note 4 while offering a curved screen on the right side.

Galaxy Note Edge is therefore completely out, both traditional smartphones, but mobile first curved like the Galaxy Round or LG G Flex since for the first time, the flexible screen has a purpose other than aesthetics and features features its own .

A variant of Note 4 really surprising that nevertheless does not appear to have been unanimously after public since two “clans” were formed with, on one side are those who think that the Galaxy Note Edge is a real innovation in the line-up of Samsung and those that it is only a gadget .

Apart from its unusual design, the Galaxy Note Edge offers a different user experience since the second display area is independent of the main screen and because the device has a user interface revised and an SDK of its own called revolving UX.

The channel can be used to display shortcuts to your favorite applications, media player controls, time, or simply serve as extension to the main screen area. A display portion that is scalable and allows to take full advantage of technology from Samsung.

In return, the battery is slightly less powerful than the Note 4 (3000 mAh vs 3220 mAh) and scores lower than those of its peer benchmarks, probably due to the fact that the processor finds himself forced to manage two separate displays.
