Galaxy Note 4: the autonomy of the Exynos version of the widely … – Phonandroid

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has only been released in South Korea as the first benchmarks already popping up on the web. Those of our colleagues and Androidauthority PlayWare concern us the most. They are based on the Exynos version of the smartphone and reveal a great autonomy in all circumstances. That should reassure those who thought that the screen would be extremely energy-intensive.

Remember that the Galaxy Note 4 is available in two hardware configurations. The one with 805 and one with Snapdragon SoC Exynos developed internally. The Exynos version, it seems mainly designed for the Korean market. It is composed of Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53 ARM. Through Big.LITTLE architecture, all benefits of balanced profiles that can switch from maximum performance mode to autonomous mode transparently to the user.

Through a wide range of tests to cover a maximum of practical situations, benchmarks could highlight the excellent battery life proposed by the Galaxy Note 4 In any case, was the same brightness (230 nits) and is say when WiFi is on. We have three tables that match the performance tests with WiFi, video mode and then finally in a 3D game. Please click on the various tables to enlarge and have a better readability.

The first procedure revealed a range from 8.30 with a permanent display of a white image. On the same test, the LG G3 held only 5:38. It is likely that here the AMOLED display technology from Samsung helps a lot the smartphone. These proven results in the benchmark resistance in WiFi mode. In constant use, the Galaxy Note 4 surrenders after 7 hours.

When testing video, the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy 4 S5 leading the way with over 12 hours of battery life. It is quite possible that the AMOLED allow such a feat in striking a balance between performance and power saving. But the highlight is kept for last. With a heavy scene in 3D, Note 4 shows valiant in 3:30.

This may seem little, but do not forget that we have here is a qHD screen and that the GPU works much to make the extra pixels that if the definition was simply a Full HD. It is therefore an excellent battery (LG G3 is not dropped either with 3:09 on the clock) that should satisfy buyers phablette hoping that the first hardware defects are only isolated cases.
