 comparative picture

The Samsung Galaxy Note iPhone 5 and 6 more are upscale phablettes. It is therefore interesting to compare them and to highlight their differences.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 PHABLET is the latest and most efficient, the South Korean company. It is unfortunately not yet marketed in Europe, leaving room for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. But the product is still available for import, and its output will eventually happen sooner or later (at least we hope). On the other side, Apple’s product already has its place, despite its dubious beginnings related to its resistance problem. Which of the two smartphones large format should you so plump?

A similar and yet different design

 Comparison 1

The design of the two phones is not so different, except that the screen of the iPhone 6 Plus tends more towards the length, and the Note 5 plus the width. Aside from that, it differentiates the two designs easily: on one side the classic Apple home button and a rather sleek phone deal. The other Samsung logo above, and the oval button below. The latter appears quite similar dimensions to the iPhone 6 Plus, since it is both of phablettes. It is, however, slightly smaller than the iPhone , with about a total width of a millimeter and less, and 5 in length and less. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is also thicker than half a millimeter.

In terms of weight, the phones are tied, one weighing 171 g and the other 172 g. Difficult to separate them here, it’s really a matter of taste

and Resolution. screen type, a force for Note 5

 Comparison 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note has a 5 screen panel larger than ( 5’7 inches against 5’5 iPhone). Its resolution is also impressive, since Password 1440 x 2560 , 1920 x 1080 in the iPhone 6 Plus. The resolution in pixels per inch is the best in the market, since Note 5 displays 515 dpi against 401 dpi iPhone. The resolution of the iPhone is already very efficient in itself, but the Galaxy Note 5 successfully placed the bar even higher. Also note that Samsung PHABLET has an AMOLED type screen, against a Retina Apple. This difference ensures that the Note 5 provides better contrast ratio and saturation, pleasing to look at.

One negative side of Apple, although the other smartphones are not immune to a break, the screen iPhone 6 Plus is reputed to be very brittle . Watch out for falls! The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 therefore provides a larger screen, though with a much higher resolution. This gap makes it without any doubts score

Optimization against performance

comparison 3

In terms of performance it gets complicated. The Samsung Galaxy Note has a processor 5 Exynos 7420 , produced by the firm, which boasts impressive features again. 8 cores and 4 GB of RAM against a dual-core supported by 1 GB RAM only on the side of Apple. The problem is that even if the characteristics of Samsung are vastly more powerful than the iPhone 6 Plus, do not forget the particularity of Apple products at this level. Their software is incredibly better optimized , since they were designed with and for the product. It therefore requires much less performance for the same work.

However, Samsung’s performance being what they are, I think it is difficult to say that the iPhone 6 Plus catching gap just with optimization. So it is still a point to Note 5

A similar autonomy

 Comparison 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh against 2915 mAh in the iPhone 6 Plus. This difference is very small, especially as it leans more towards the iPhone because of the big screen Note 5 request more energy. Autonomy is often the weak point of the iPhone, but on this one there, the 6 Plus can hold a reasonable period of one day use and 16 days of standby time. The side of the Galaxy Note 5, the performance is not much better. However, it has a quick charging functionality and wireless charging, even if the fittings are expensive. The Note 5 also loses its removable battery, a negative point that unfortunately widespread.

On autonomy, both phones are therefore generally tie.

A complicated choice

 Compare 5

At first reading characteristics, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 stands out in terms of its photo sensor. Although one can notice a real technical superiority on the side of Samsung ( 16MP against 8MP and 5 MP against 1.2 MP ), Apple catches up again on its optimization. The iPhone’s sensor is equipped with an optical image stabilizer and image processing produces a final result quite up to the smartphone more powerful sensors. 6 Plus also offers integrated touch-up tools to further improve the image quality if necessary.

This is again a very close result between the two, one has much better equipment, but otherwise the other compensates for good quality. Once again it is equality

The final word

One can clearly see that the Samsung Galaxy Note has 5 components a generally higher quality to those of the iPhone 6 Plus. However, Apple’s expertise allows them to offset its weaknesses and shorten the gap between the two phones. This is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 prevails in our opinion, but overall judgment is tight, and the iPhone 6 Plus is a very interesting PHABLET well.

Taking into account the non-marketing of Note 5 in Europe for now, those looking for a safe bet right now could instead turn to the iPhone 6 Plus. Those who are willing to wait for a bit against, would do better to invest in the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for a smartphone that will stay longer competitive in terms of its components also. Small element that can make the difference, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with a stylus. Very handy on large screens.
