Moody’s Investors Service said on Friday lowered the perspective of Austria, still rated Aaa from “stable” to “negative”, the rating agency considering that the country’s economic growth is likely to remain weak in the medium term.
This slow growth will not help to reduce relatively high public debt, Moody’s notes, writing that its ratio will peak at 87% of GDP this year and to decline only slowly thereafter.
