Death Note: The Leftovers an actress in the cast of the adaptation … – Orange

Ba Hawoly published on November 13

Death Note is the next big challenge Hollywood has set Warner. And if the movie has found its star and director, is now the leading actress has just been unearthed by the studio. Indeed, as revealed by the Hollywood Reporter , Margaret Qualley is currently in discussions with Warner to provide the partition.

If you’re a fan of the series The Leftovers with Justin Theroux , you probably know his face. Otherwise, there is little chance that the name of Margaret Qualley resonates familiar way. Indeed, the actress displays currently one feature film in his filmography: Palo Alto , released last year with James Franco and Emma Roberts . She is currently filming in the movie The Nice Guys, in which she will play opposite Ryan Gosling or Matt Bomer . But that is another challenge that may soon face if she found an agreement with Warner. She then slip into the skin of the main female character in the film Death Note .

As a reminder, this Japanese manga released in 2003 tells the story of Light Yagami, a high school student very smart falling on a black notebook in which he can condemn to death any person that registered the name. Justice-loving, Light usually target criminals or corrupt politicians to go crazy and take to justice in person, helped by the god of death Ryuk, who owns the Death Note. In parallel, it assists police in finding whoever is behind these crimes, including L, a strange gifted detective who suspects Light from the start. If the film follows the original frame, Margaret Qualley could then offered the role of the character of Misa (possibly renamed the US), another possesseuse a Death Note and loving Light. The latter will be played by Nat Wolff we could see the credits of Dark of Margo or Our stars opposite .

Adam Wingard , the director of You’re Next , is expected to stage Death Note from an adaptation of writer Jeremy Slater. No production schedule has been submitted yet.
