Bombings in Paris: CSA sends a note to editors – Tele 2 Weeks

Since yesterday evening and series of attacks which caused the death of 128 people in Paris, the chains are put in “special editions” on the news channels BFM TV and as well as iTELE on general channels such as TF1 and France 2. Direct high risk since, in the middle of the afternoon, it is still unclear if the seven attackers died in the attacks or not accomplices who might be fleeing and while the investigation is still in its infancy.

This Saturday, November 14 at the beginning of the afternoon, the High Audiovisual Council (CSA) has decided to send a note to the editor. “The Higher Audiovisual Council strongly attracts the attention of TV and radio on the need to give any indication likely to jeopardize the smooth running of ongoing investigations into the tragic circumstances that our country lives “, indicates the audiovisual supervisory body in this release.

For now, the different channels have shown great restraint in the matter. Since yesterday evening, during the assault of the BIS against the terrorists holed up with many hostages in the Bataclan, all complied with the request of the authorities not to broadcast images of the facade of the Paris theater, to not compromise the current operation. And Saturday is still caution prevails. Thus, no details were given by the media about the ongoing search for a black car and possible accomplices of the seven terrorists neutralized. Neither the identity of one of the dead assailants inside the Bataclan, a French identified by police through their fingerprint. No more than two passports, a Syrian, an Egyptian, allegedly found near the Stade de France, where, apparently, the bombers were shredded by their explosive belt.

This reminder for caution from the CSA is however useful when one remembers what happened last January in the previous series of attacks in central Paris bruised. iTELE and LCI had given identifiers from Kouachi brothers as the two killers of writing Charlie Hebdo were still on the run and before the release of a call to a witness by the Paris police headquarters. When they were entrenched in a printing of Dammartin-en-Goële, RMC, TF1 and France 2 had broadcast evidence suggesting that an employee could be on the inside, without the knowledge of the two brothers, which s ‘had proved true. Which employee had also complained seven months later for “endangering the lives of others”

& gt;. & Gt; & gt; A former hostage of Kouachi brothers filed a complaint against TF1, France 2 and RMC

Finally, during the hostage taking at the Hyper Kosher door of Vincennes by Amedy Coulibaly, had evoked BFM TV the presence of hidden hostages in the cold room before their release. They too had then complained.

And in February 2015, the CSA had conducted formal notices and warnings of several chains in relation to these slippages.
