22 Nov. 2015, 2:24 p.m. | Update: 22 Nov. 2015, 2:41 p.m.

The stadium was collected during the execution of the French national anthem at eight minutes from the start of the match counting for the 14th day of Ligue 1.

Only a lonely whistle was heard, twice, in the popular tribune near the sea Stadium Armand Cesari, unanswered.

Then sounded Corsican sacred song «Diu vi salvi Regina”, taken by a part of the stadium. Finally one minute of applause and the release of balloons, white 130 for the victims of November 13, plus a blue for a club educator, died Nov. 12, has closed a solemn tribute and fully respected.

After the announcement by the speaker of the Protocol, the stage was plunged into total silence for five minutes. Both teams entered the pitch without a sound, and you could almost hear their crampons on the grass.

Near the center circle, a banner “Ripusate in pace” (Rest in peace) paid tribute to the victims, with the now famous logo of the Eiffel Tower the symbol entered in Peace and Love. Another saluted the memory of the youth coach, Dominique Albertini.

If the Marseillaise was therefore not whistled, the main group of supporters of SCB, Bastia 1905, however, had decided just before the meeting that he would enter the stage after this one. “Bastia in 1905 will not be present in the stadium during the broadcast of this hymn (…) that is not ours,” was it written in the statement posted on the Facebook page of the association. “We were ready to listen to accept this illegitimate singing in our stadium to pay tribute to Parisian victims,” added Bastia 1905, which regretted the controversy sparked Friday night by the initial choice of Sporting not to play La Marseillaise before the game, as in other stages of France but also in Europe.

Members of Bastia in 1905 have therefore joined their forum after La Marseillaise.

On Saturday was agitated by the controversy, the nationalist mayor of Bastia, Gilles Simeoni, who particularly called La Marseillaise is well played . A position that had pushed the club to seek that “cease immediately useless polemics and various politicians recoveries that have preceded this unfortunately Corsican derby.”

But the controversy was born of a press release the same SCB the day before Friday detailing the pre-match program, but La Marseillaise, despite the instructions of the professional league (LFP) to interpret the anthem before all league matches this weekend.

The match was originally scheduled to play Saturday night but was eventually postponed until early Sunday afternoon due to very strong winds on the island
