FRANKFURT, Jan. 14 (Reuters) – The European Central Bank (ECB) said on Wednesday to take note of the opinion of the Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on the program monetary securities transactions (WTO) and stated that he was ready and available.
“The ECB takes note of the opinion of the Advocate General. This is an important step in the application preliminary ruling. (The program) UNWTO is ready and available, “the ECB said Wednesday on his Twitter account.
The Advocate General of the ECJ was asked to rule on the legality of the WTO and its opinion was likely to limit the ECB’s ability to launch a comprehensive program to buy government bonds in order to prevent the risk of défaltion within the euro area.
