Samsung announces a hardware update its last Phablet, the Galaxy Note 4. This new version, which will be launched next year, will aggregate different frequency bands to enable downloads by up to 300 Mbps initially and 450 Mbps later.
The year is ending, but Samsung still had an announcement to make before getting ready for 2015. On Monday, the South Korean company has formalized the arrival of a new version of the Galaxy Note 4. It contains a hardware update that will allow future owners to enjoy much better access to the mobile Internet, through the aggregation of multiple frequency bands.
Specifically, the new Galaxy Note 4 can download content up to 450 Mbps by grouping three frequency bands. However, this capability also depends on the telephone networks. Samsung says it will first be expected peaks of up to 300 Mbps, which is far from negligible. Under optimal conditions, a video of 700 MB can be recovered in 19 seconds.
Aggregation of frequency bands is a track followed by the operators to provide a connection to the mobile Internet much more efficient. Bouygues Telecom has announced the Ultra Mobile Broadband for 2015, thanks to LTE Advanced (4G +). The group plans to approach a 300 Mbps, which is three to four times the 4G standard.
Apart from increased connectivity, the Galaxy Note 4 does not evolve in terms of features. Samsung will market the device in 2015 for a charge to be announced.
