“I wish to end on a better note” – Le Parisien

Interview by Franck Gineste | December 21 2014, 7:00 | Updated: December 21 2014, 5:49

He had imagined another exit. Francis De Percin, former deputy, propelled to the head of Créteil there five weeks after the departure of Philippe Hinschberger, failed to avoid defeat (2-0) to Ajaccio Gazélec for the last appointment of the year. After four games in Ligue 2 (2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss) and 8 th final of the League Cup (1-0 setback in Rennes), the interim should return in shadow upon resumption, December 29.

Cristolien club has started looking for a qualified coach and a priori experienced, like Elie Baup only probed for time.

What are your reasons for this defeat?
FRANCIS DE PERCIN. We had a good first period, but n has not been able to realize our highlights and our situations. The first goal is conceded on half a chance. The second gag after an innocuous button. We did not have the mental resources to doubt Ajaccio, a courageous and very realistic team, but has not shown much.

How have you experienced this last game as head coach?

I wish to end on a better note and bring at least one point. There was no particular emotion because I was aware that he had to make it stop one day or another. There is a regulation that imposes a qualified coach, must be respected. I will be at the disposal and service of the new coach to help find solutions in order to obtain as quickly as possible support.

Do you have fulfilled your mission?

Yes I Am. The last two results, with the defeat in Rennes and especially this one, leave me a little bitter, but the results are positive and satisfying. I had a very good experience for a month. I had the chance to have a receptive group. One could make things interesting.

Are you disappointed not to continue to lead the team?

There is no disappointment to have. There would have been if things had not been said from the start. But in my head, it was clear from the beginning that I would leave my place to a graduate coach.

It gave he made you want to get the diploma to lead a team pro?

Yes I Am. Training can help to provide more in the management of a professional group, whether n o 1 or even n o 2.

Do you hope to maintain the prerogatives expanded with the new coach?

We can talk when he arrives. It is he who decides. I think it will have enough experience to rely on the staff and take the necessary information. Us, we will do anything to help it adapt very quickly. He will arrive with his personality, his experience. I already had an advisory opinion with Jean-Luc (Note: Vasseur, Reims party this summer). and Philippe (Hinschberger)

What kind of coach do you think we need for this group?

A coach with experience and experiences. Because the situation, if it is not dramatic, is nevertheless worrying.

Some have criticized Philippe Hinschberger of being too nice. Must we coach to grasp?

I will return you the question. Is Jean-Luc (Vasseur) was a dictator? No, and yet he had results. This group is not difficult to manage. He did not need a dictator, but someone who knows well the Ligue 2 or League 1.

Why the season is complicated while the number of better than last year?

There is always an element of success. When she does not come, the group loses confidence and becomes a little crumbly. Like today (yesterday) in Ajaccio, there were situations against us, and we struggled to respond. The group of mental resources, it has already shown, but it must be done over time.
