S & P degrades the note EDF – Le Figaro

The rating agency Standard and Poor’s downgraded Friday by one notch to “A +” to “A” long-term rating of the French utility EDF, saying its economic parameters had waned. The rating is combined with a negative outlook, which means a change of note is feasible in the medium term.

Adjusted parallel, Standard & amp; Poor’s reduced the rating of the EDF hybrid debt to junk status, a decision that could complicate the refinancing of 10 billion euros of debt the first French producer of electricity. The agency lowered the rating of subordinated hybrid securities issued by EDF of two levels, from BBB to BB +, the highest level of the category “junk”.
