The second part, with the harmony of The Big Chill, led by Damien St. Mark, performed seven pieces that have conquered the public. This concert New Year has demonstrated that all these young people from the music school of the banda Los Amigos and Harmony the first mates, lived in a very good agreement and that they were keen to maintain the tradition musical Gabarret. Their goodwill helps develop gabardane music.
Thirty students
The music school welcomes about thirty students, supervised by a team of competent teachers. The school’s director, Christian La Marne, also teaches piano and provides musical training. The class saxophone and clarinet is headed by Thierry Dumoulin, Martial Sancey ensures the guitar class, flute class for teacher Noémie Van Aerschodt which is also responsible for the harmony of the school. The battery is Jérémy Morello and Professor Pierre Benoit gives courses trumpet. Teachers and students thus ensure the sustainability of the gabardane music.
During the year 2015, the banda Los Amigos hosted many festive moments in Gabarret and in neighboring municipalities. As for the harmony, it is always present in the various ceremonies throughout the year to bring together Gabardans memorials.
For the year 2016, the banda Los Amigos and harmony Les Copains d’abord return with their repertoire supplemented by new songs.
