Samsung has just started deploying Android on the Galaxy Note Lollipop Edge. The update is already available in Australia. Hopefully she will soon reach us.
Now that the Galaxy Note 4 started receiving its update based Lollipop, it would be logical that the deployment starts also for its Edge variant. An official and more or less stable ROM was also leaving the premises of Samsung earlier this month, suggesting that it could even be updated before him. It was finally not the case, but the shift should not be very important.
The update is available in Australia
SamMobile reports that the Galaxy Note Edge starts to be updated in Australia. The new firmware based on Android 5.0.1 OTA is proposed and weighs about 1 GB. A significant weight, but justified by the many innovations introduced by Lollipop, which include notes of Material Design in the user interface (which is obviously TouchWiz), a system of enhanced notifications, multitasking manager redesigned, the Smart Lock system, or a more efficient virtual machine to name a few.
What about France?
Given the small number of markets in which the Galaxy Note is available Edge, deploying Lollipop should logically be faster for him than for other Galaxy. We bet while the update will soon reach us. A notification should automatically notify you of its availability, but you can always manually start a search in the dedicated section from the Settings menu.
Unable however to flash the firmware being deployed in Australia and made available SamMobile on the server since it is for the SM-N915G. If you purchased the Galaxy Note Edge in France, it is normally number SM-N915F …
