Samsung has kept its promises with its Galaxy Note 4! This smartphone size, or rather Phablet (5.7 inch screen) has pleasantly surprised us during our tests. The first glance, however, was hesitant. After its presentation at IFA, other giant aircraft landed on the market, including the Apple iPhone 6 More. So aesthetics Galaxy Note 4 we now appears less successful at the very first in Berlin. The big jigs avoid wearing white, this is the mistake made with the Samsung Note 4. For the black version is indeed much more elegant. Its lines are more discreet and more tailored finishes: aluminum Note 4 white banding is covered with a white layer which is very “plastic” … A roof! Instead, the black model is satisfied with a dark brushed aluminum and much more class and back plastic shell “imitation leather” is significantly more pleasant to the touch

Faced with the iPhone 6 Plus

Interface all options, premium stylus

Samsung is also the inevitable TouchWiz interface. Many criticized by some, particularly because of its complexity (real), and aesthetic enough kitsch (the colors are very … Korean), we nevertheless tended to appreciate it. If the “geeks” and Android fans prefer the classic Google (customize if necessary), public users, less connoisseurs will be more attracted to a less austere interface as TouchWiz overlay. Besides the built-in stylus device, which multiplies its possibilities. Samsung still perfecting this major function of Note 4, with software rather well done (it will sometimes tame for a few days). Write on the device is nice. OCR is also baffling that Google voice recognition. Games cutting photo, and bonding in a book smart notes are very useful for those working on their smartphone. Some software Samsung are among the best in the genre, including the music player, still full, and armed with a AdaptSound function always great too. The Samsung AMOLED technology still fly, this time with an even definition Enhanced: 2560 x 1440 pixels, it’s more than it takes in all areas. The colors flatter retina display mode “Adaptive” and very faithful in basic mode (by disabling the option “Auto Tone screen.”). Again, in direct sunlight, the screen brightness strength to be very comfortable to watch (559 cd / m² on average, very high for the AMOLED). The contrast ratio is infinite, perfect angles of vision … Nothing to say, except that whites always get a little “gray-green” greatly reduced when the screen brightness (this is inherent to the AMOLED technology).

With its Snapdragon processor 805, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 420 graphics processor, the Note 4 provides an optimal user comfort in all circumstances. Excellent autonomy

In return, the Galaxy Note 4 is a real camel. Autonomy is not a problem: it will greatly until the next morning, even heavy use. Its results are among the best ever recorded in our four tests of independence (including eight hours in our new test, which is very good). That said, it does not significantly exceed other devices, such as Sony Xperia Z3 that offers very nearly the same autonomy

Charging is actually very fast. Our device, always on and sometimes used from 4 to 50% of battery in just 40 minutes to reach 100% capacity just an hour after

HDR effective

photo as the video, the Galaxy Note 4 is excellent. The software is easy to use, triggers and taking photographs are very fast, even in HDR mode and low brightness. The unit manages almost all catch the first time, with a lot of details and a good white balance. We just blame him its tendency to saturate the colors a bit, especially in HDR mode (very effective elsewhere). The video is well stabilized, highly detailed definition in Ultra-HD (4K). No complaints, especially the unit, with its optic sensor stabilization, offers a much cleaner and brighter image than the iPhone 6 Plus (even stabilization) in very low light

In short, that blame the Galaxy Note 4 apart from the clumsy design of its white version, and small! weaknesses in very advanced games? Nothing. It is excellent everywhere, and has the luxury to offer a comparable template for many more features than the iPhone 6 More Apple. It therefore deserves its 5 stars
