Sollowing and probably end the fiasco of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in France, with the announcement of an update deployed as soon as Tuesday 31 January 2017 and that will stop permanently to all of the devices still in circulation.

Samsung has announced to deploy as of January 31, a new software update on the battery all the Galaxy Note 7 will still work in Europe, including France. It will block the loading of the battery of these devices as well as their use as a mobile. The Americans and the Malaysians have already been able to enjoy this radical measure intended to prevent any further risk of explosion, as it already happened in spectacular fashion during the summer.

note that this should not involve a lot of devices, the manufacturer south Korean has already recovered 94% of the Galaxy Note 7 passed on the old continent. As a reminder, this smartphone has been available in France for a few weeks in pre-order during the summer of 2016.

Released in August in Asia, Australia or the United States, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has seen its launch in Europe the following month suspended after several cases of batteries that have caught fire in the loading phase. Samsung has since acknowledged that it is a design flaw of the battery, which was at the origin of these multiple incidents.

Samsung has responded to the crisis by deciding in particular to stop the marketing of its smartphone and organizing a vast campaign of redemption or exchange of the device. By restricting today the possibilities of recharging the Galaxy Note 7, he is hoping that the last owners are willing to part with it permanently.

note that more than 2 million devices reportedly found a buyer before the case explodes.
