Redmi Note 4X : Xiaomi dance the waltz of the SoC – The Digital – Digital

the Six months after having introduced the Redmi Note 4, already declined with two SoC separate, Xiaomi has just updated its range with the Redmi Note 4X, which is based on several different chips.
At the end of the month of August last year, Xiaomi was the Redmi Note 4, the successor to the Redmi Note 3. At the heart of the spacecraft, there was an SoC Helio X20 supported by 3 Gb of ram. A few months later, however, it is a chip Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 625, head past the Redmi Note 4 (stamped Pro for the occasion) outside of China. A few more weeks have passed and the manufacturer is coming again to enlarge the family. Good news, there is no question of a third model, dubbed Redmi Note 4, but a brand new Redm i Note 4X. Bad news for fans of clarity, the name cache again, several profiles hardware different.

in practical terms, all the Redmi Note 4X reproduce the look of the Redmi Note 4. We thus find the same dress, embellished with a Full HD screen of 5.5 inches (≈14 cm diagonal ; 1 920 x 1 080 px ; 401 ppi), two APN of 13 and 5 Megapixel and a fingerprint reader. A battery of 4,100 mAh battery is also present in all cases. The SoC, however, is not the same according to the grinds. On the version dedicated to the character Hatsune Miku, put forward by the constructor, this is, once again, the Snapdragon 625, which animates MIUI 8 (Android-6.x), supported by 4 Gb of ram. The website of the manufacturer, however, did state in parallel with a Redmi Note 4X without any branding, with a chip Snapdragon 653.

On the technical side, this means that the first one has 8 cores architecture Cortex-A53, while the second is based on 4 core Cortex-A72 (more efficient) and 4 cores Cortex-A53. The graphics, for its part, is based on a GPU Adreno 506 within the Snapdragon 625 and a GPU Adreno 510 (best) within the Snapdragon 653. In the margin of this power gap, however, no major difference should not jump to the eyes. The two chips handle a maximum throughput of 300 Mb/s in download, the VoLTE and the same standards of connectivity (Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, etc.). There are also 64 Gb of internal memory and a microSD port, regardless of the grind.

For the time being, we know that the version of Hatsune Miku must land on the shelves of chinese on the 14th of February, at a price yet unknown. The Redmi Note 4X “short”, for its part, has no timetable, but appears already at the rate of 269,99 $ , evening approximately 253 €.
