North Kivu: UN notes the improvement in the security situation and … – Radio Okapi

The UN noted the security and humanitarian improvements over the past decade in North Kivu, where the presence of MONUSCO was strengthened.

The UN has made this assessment during an organized retreat, Saturday, October 24 in Goma, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of this international organization in the world.

One hundred people, students, members of the government Provincial and civil society in North Kivu attended this day of reflection during which the role and mandate of MONUSCO and UN agencies in the DRC were explained.
