even more infrared LEDs and two OLED

Before you even. play the screwdriver, our colleagues have spent the headphones before an infrared camera to take stock of the infrared LEDs on the helmet (they can detect the movements of the head). Unlike previous versions, the Rift has both the front and back

The start of dismantling is no problem. Once the protective foam inside the helmet removed it is easy to disconnect the cable. Inside, the hardware changes compared to the Oculus DK2: 1080p screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is replaced by two independent OLED screens of 90 mm side, one under each lens, which allows the to better adjust the helmet to the morphology of each. In all cases, the density of screens is 456 ppi, which is higher than an iPhone 6s Plus, but unless a Galaxy S7 note our colleagues

final note:. 7 to 10, could do better in some areas

The helmet gets a final score of repairability 7 of 10. If the outer layers are relatively easy to remove, go inside the helmet is more difficult iFixit says.

the narrow design with internal ribbon cables makes it difficult when you have removed the lenses, screens and the motherboard. In addition, to replace the strap that keeps the helmet in place on the head, cut the fabric.
