The movie Death Note will be a “Heat version teens” – Actu Ciné

Death Note / Nat Wolff

In the margins of the promotion of the series, ” The Exorcist “, Jeremy Slater talk about the project ” Death Note “, in which he was involved, in an interview with Collider.

He noted that this adaptation will not be watered down :

” They have hired another screenwriter, Kyle Killen, who is incredibly talented. I know that he has done rewrites on final on my script for the final shoot. There’s a whole arbitration process to determine who wrote what, but I think they have used a portion of my script as a starting point.

I think this is going to be really special, not only because Adam Wingard is a director fabulously talented, but I think we have found an approach that is really cool and fun of 'Death Note' to which we are limited. This is the movie Heat, but with teens and one of them has super-powers.

It is a lot more dark, more fun and more exciting than what people expect. And we also tried to really stay faithful to the complexity of legal material. “

Death Note, with Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, and Shea Whigham, will come out on Netflix current 2017.
