Fitch Ratings affirmed at ‘AAA’, the highest possible, the sovereign rating of Germany, the rating agency highlighting the strength of the country’s institutions and its diverse economy, with high added value.
In a statement, Fitch, which also confirms the stable outlook attached to the bill, however stressed the “considerable uncertainty” regarding the budgetary impact over the medium and long term, of the refugee crisis.
The rating agency expects the first European economy to grow 1.7% this year and a gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.8% for 2017, estimating that the resilience of domestic demand is able to compensate for the weakness of the international situation.
