PARIS (Dow Jones) – The rating agency Moody’s Investors Service upgraded the credit rating Friday CFR (corporate family rating) Alcatel-Lucent from “B3″ to “B2″. All notes of the French equipment, which prepares its merger with Finland’s Nokia (NOKIA.HE) remain under review in view of a recovery, said Moody’s. “Our decision to raise the rating of Alcatel-Lucent mainly reflects the improved operating performance of the group over the past quarters,” especially in terms of cash generation, the agency said. These improvements are expected to continue in 2016, due to substantial cost reductions, says Moody’s. (eric.chalmet@wsj.com) ed / LB
