S & amp; P SUCCESSION OF GREECE TO NOTE CCC + PERSPECTIVE AND STABLE
(Reuters) – Standard & amp agency; Poor’s announced Tuesday raise the long-term rating of Greece from CCC + to CCC-and also raise the prospect of “negative” to “stable”.
Greece hopes to complete by the 20th August negotiations with its international creditors on a new bailout plan for three years could reach 86 billion euros, said Tuesday the spokesman of the government of Alexis Tsipras.
The rating agency explains that raising the prospect reflects the feeling that the risks to the new long note will be balanced for the next 12 months. She added that the increase in the long note is motivated by the feeling that a default on commercial debt of Greece is now no longer inevitable within six to 12 months
S & amp;. P , anticipating an economic contraction of 3% in Greece this year, also believes that the likelihood of Greece leaving the euro zone remains above 33% but is also less than 50%.
Given the evolution of the Greek case, she wrote, “we believe that the possibility of Greece leaving the euro dropped to less than 50% in our forecast period to 2018 but the risk of an output remains high if the Greek government does not successfully implement what appears to be an ambitious program. “
