Phones and PDAs – Doing class=”dateheure”> October 23, 2013 :: 5:08 p.m. :: By Setra Rkt
When South Korea launched its first smart watch, it was only compatible with the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 10.1. This restriction has been widely criticized, causing some disappointment on the part of fans of the brand. Added to this is the battery that does not satisfy all users.
Anyway, if you felt frustrated when you discovered that the smart watch was not compatible with your smartphone, this news could rejoice. Especially if you’re holding a S4 or Note II.
Today Samsung announced the Galaxy Gear would be compatible with the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II. This will be possible thanks to the up-to-day to the new version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
This compatibility will also be extended to other smartphones, like the S4 Mini Active S4, S4 Zoom or Mega 6.3. Updates should start at the end of October.
course, this will depend on each country and operators. This is perhaps the reason why Samsung did not give a specific date, as the compatibility seems to depend on up-to-days of terminal software.
To recap, the Galaxy Gear can make calls, check your inbox and your notifications. The user can also use it to connect to social networks to capture images with camera of 1.9 megapixels. There is also a pedometer that counts the number of steps we did (good for jogging). And more amazing to watch, it can be used to check the time.
