The launch of its latest high-end smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7, was to be the highlight of the season for Samsung before the presentation of the iPhone 7 by US rival Apple. But battery incidents have dampened the hopes of the South Korean firm.
Samsung announced Friday, September 2, that sales of the device were to be suspended. Users have especially complained to the company to have seen their device battery suddenly take fire during charging.
The phone giant announced it would replace all those devices bought this widescreen smartphone.
