After loosely discarded, Samsung has quietly settled the design flaw of 5 Galaxy Note, the stylus may crash if it was stored upside down.
When discovery “pengate” six months ago, Samsung was discarded and had, like Apple in its time, blamed the users. Proof that it was a design flaw, the brand has bypassed the problem with a tiny appendage.
Shortly after the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to last August, the first buyers had found the hard way that nothing prevented insert the S Pen stylus upside in its storage housing … and that the extract could then break the extraction detection mechanism, depriving users its specific functions.
Samsung had rejected the qualification of design defect, referring to the user guide that warned against inserting the pen upside down. The brand was so well identified consequences and chose to market the product as well. Following the controversy, she had nevertheless changed the packaging of the product to alert users when unpacking, recognizing that we could not decently blame them for not consulting the manual.
Six months later Samsung has finally solved the problem with a tiny appendage fixed by a simple piece of tape. The extraction detection mechanism is no longer a non-return valve, as shown by a photograph obtained by the website Phandroid. Now, a stylus inserted upside readily apparent from the slot.
Samsung should have its dose of returns after sales service. Unfortunately, the buyer can identify if the product is concerned that he possesses the dismantling. In other words, the measure does not exempt users to remain vigilant at their own blunders and those of their loved ones.
