WEC – Alpine concludes the 2015 season on a positive note – Confidential Renault

Signatech-lived high Alpine racing weekend in color for the final race of the 2015 campaign WEC. On the occasion of the Six Hours of Barhreïn, the French team had to confirm his last heart benefits, particularly where the team had won his first race of the season in Shanghai.

The competition began in the best possible way Alpine with obtaining Friday from pole position, the first in World Endurance Championship for the tricolor brand. Despite an aging A450B, the Alpine team showed that it was able to perform on long runs but also a ride. Awesome!

The race, it was unfortunately more difficult. After a cautious start of Tom Dillmann, the tricolor formation loses command but valiantly fighting for the podium throughout the race.

Contact with the Toyota LMP1 category yet seriously jeopardizes the chances of the team to get the win and even sees the third escape in the final round, where Nelson Panciatici could contain the onslaught of G-Drive Racing due to heavily degraded tires.

However, Nelson and his crew Paul-Loup Chatin and Tom Dillmann performed a flawless delivery and fourth place overall a satisfactory performance for a team that has continued from strength to strength despite a much older car.

With its booming end of season, Alpine wins fourth place in the final ranking of manufacturers ( 9 formations), a great result for a team on his first season in the World Championship Endurance. Satisfaction can be bet and optimism also with a 2016 campaign promises. In this regard, Alpine is working on its future sports program and announcements are expected shortly. Deeply more
