The Standard & Poor’s raises credit rating of Ireland to A– Boursier.com

(Boursier.com) – Rating agency Standard & Poor’s announced Friday night that raised its rating on the sovereign debt of Ireland from BBB + to A-, and noting the improvement in the economic situation of the country.

The new note is accompanied by a positive outlook. S & P also believes a three probability of a further increase in the next two years. The agency states have also revised upwards its forecast for average growth of the Irish economy over the period 2014-2016 to 2.7% against 2.0% previously.
