Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 will update via OTA to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean by the end of the year. However, many owners of this phablette are eager to have the latest update of Android to take advantage of certain features that are already available on the Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the beta version of the firmware on the number XXUEMJ5 series is now available for download through our colleague SamMobile.

I think it goes without saying that this frimware is still in trial version before its official rollout, so it is likely that the ROM is unstable. Anyway, It offers several new features included in the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3, including better management of the performance of the device to make it faster, support for the Galaxy Gear, security KNOX Samsung, the Samsung Wallet, a new keyboard and more.

Therefore, if you are eager to run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on your Galaxy Note 2 N7100 (international version), and that any bugs that may appear do not scare you, you can download the firmware at this address. It should be noted that installing an unofficial ROM is at your own risk, and therefore we are not responsible for any inconvenience that you may encounter during installation. However, if you follow the instructions below, you will normally not encounter problems

class=”c5″>

  • Unzip the file you just downloaded
  • Download Odin3 v3.09

  • Add to N7100XXUEMJ5_N7100OLBEMJ4_N7100XXUEMJ5_HOME.tar.md5 in PDA
  • Make sure re-partition is not checked
  • Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
  • If you encounter problems with the firmware (Android crash, reboot, etc.)
  • Boot into recovery mode (Home + Power + vol up)
  • Choose reset to wipe / factory. (This will erase all your data INCLUDING THOSE INSIDE YOUR SD card!)
