- Galaxy S3 and Note 2: when will the update to Android 4.4 KitKat
If you a Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2 , you recently have received the update to Android 4.3, or so it will not be long. The door is now open to it update to Android 4.4 KitKat ? If it took a little time, Samsung will release this probably upgrade in the coming months. If nothing is official, we leave our crystal ball!
Like all manufacturers, Samsung emphasizes its latest high-end models in terms of Android updates. So just look at the versions of the Google OS on different Samsung products to guess who will be next updated. Currently, no product of the Korean brand runs version 4.4 KitKat. One can imagine that Galaxy S5 would be the first to enjoy . Then follow the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Once this is done, the owners of S3 and Note 2 will start stamping.
If the Galaxy S5 is expected in March or April 2014, other terminals may receive update to Android 4.4 in May or June KitKat . Yes it is still far away, but Samsung should not abandon its old smartphones next year. Optimizing the OS for 512 MB of RAM is enough to give confidence about porting Android to older products. For the occasion, a new version of TouchWiz should be provided by the manufacturer with a lot of improvements and new features.
just hope it goes better than the update 4.3 on the Galaxy S3 problem. It also tells you how to get back to 4.1.2 if you want. Meanwhile, regulars at Custom ROM CyanogenMod or another can already enjoy KitKat on the Galaxy Note 2. Will you wait several months or the temptation of Custom ROM? - HTC M8: a first benchmark, better than the Galaxy Note 3
?
Date last updated: November 25, 2013 18 h 46 min
If given the rumors, it appears that the specifications of HTC M8, code-named the successor to the HTC One will be slightly below the Galaxy S5, since while the next spearhead Samsung offer a 2K screen Soc 64 Bits against a Full HD 1080p screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which will probably be a S 800, for the Taiwanese flagship, this is not to say that the device skimp on performance.
Unveiled today, all first benchmark a new device that would potentially HTC One M8 shows a score of 36,532 points AnTuTu, heralding performance theoretically superior to those of the Galaxy Note 3 which limits, for its part, to 33,814.
If the firstpresumed benchmark HTC M8 already shows two possible scenarios, the most likely of them will be the smartphone adopts a Snapdragon processor types 800 MSM8974 clocked at 2.3 GHz, ie the same as the Galaxy Note 3. With a more optimized and less resource-intensive systems software layer, the gap in performance between the two devices is not really surprising either.
The second hypothesis that could develop reading the results of this benchmark potential HTC One M8 is that the device ships last Snapdragon processor 805, announced last week. This would, of course, but more significantly less likely seller.
Besides high performance processor that should offer, the next flagship smartphone from HTC will offer a 5-inch screen and a photo sensor UltraPixels diagonal, all packed in a unibody aluminum design that will be the same as one of the three appliances brand released this year.
It will also be the first device to offer the new overlay software manufacturer HTC Sense 6.0 Android 4.4 associated with KitKat.

Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note 3 and Note 2: the update to Android ... - LesMobiles.com
Failing to have communicated its updates coming, Samsung has clearly missed an internal document on the subject. Galaxy S4, S3, Note 3 and Note 2 should upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat early next year.
update to Android 4.4 KitKat is in the mouth of everyone lately, but especially in that of the users. For their part, manufacturers have to time to confirm that they merely take good care of the latest version of Android in their updates to come, without providing an exhaustive list of affected models or a detailed schedule . Exceptions are Sony and HTC, and more.
Nevertheless, it is perhaps better to advance and miss the deadline announced to millions of users patience already well underway. This is probably not Samsung who say otherwise. This does not of course mean that the subject is taboo internally, where a provisional schedule has already circulated before accidentally falling into the hands of our brothers iTechAddict . Unsurprisingly, the terminals contained therein are the latest high-end Korean, which also includes those of last year: Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2
. Android 4.4 KitKat in January
According to the document, the first two could receive their update to Android 4.4 KitKat in the month of January, within two months. For the other two, it would not be expected before March at the earliest, or April. Hope that other models will also be involved.
Improvements to expect: improved, better management and probably some new RAM specific to the performance and stability TouchWiz interface, in addition to those introduced by Google obviously
