[IFA 2013] Conference Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Note 10.1 and Gear - Juicer

Here is a review of what Samsung has presented at its conference held today at the IFA in Berlin.

Galaxy Note 3

S Pen, Point, Circle and Box

Galaxy Gear

Then we had the right to the presentation of the famous and much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Gear product that may be decisive for the future of smart watches. At first glance, it is less coarse than what we showed the latest leaks, but its shape and design are similar (there is visible screws). It was presented to us by Pranav Mistry, a young man who would have us believe transportable technologies and ‘future’ was intended to. You will find below a picture of the watch, you are free to think of what you want but know that there will be six colors. Mistry emphasizes interface designed to be practical and aesthetic.

Features

Here is a list of features that have been the most outstanding. We first found the ability to connect the watch to the Galaxy range of devices to be notified of a glance of all our notifications as a message, an email, a missed call … You can also use the ‘ Smart Relay ‘to open the notifications on your Note 3 (or whatever) directly from the watch, to enjoy a comfortable reading. Add to that the ability to use your phone to watch (if it is connected to your phone). So you can wear your wrist to your ear to talk with your partner.

The objective is to provide a really simple experiment, which is why Gear includes voice commands and will give you access to everything in a minimum of ‘clicks’. Voice command can be used to initiate calls or send text messages without hands, this feature is called ‘S Voice’. Another aspect of ‘practice’, a concept called ‘Memographer’. Assuming that the time to get our phone in our pocket to take a picture can make us miss a single moment Gear proposes to take photos from his wrist with one finger pressure. Well, this feature may require a little practice before they manage to take pictures with correct, but why not.

Finally, one very positive point applications that will be available on the watch will be fully adapted versions and Gear. Among these we should find classics and lesser known. Samsung offers us a product well crafted even if its true usefulness is (in my eyes) to be seen. Most noticeable was that we could avoid showing some movements, is essential? Not. Samsung will arrive there to make it essential? Maybe.

Galaxy Note 10.1.

Finally, we conclude on the latest product introduced by Samsung at this conference namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Tablet Edition 2014, and perhaps the least surprising. There are not a lot of things to say about it because most of the features are similar to what we offer the Galaxy Note but they are obviously adapted to the tablet. We denote still Samsung will produce a very light and easily transportable equipment. With a width of 7.9 mm and a weight of 535 grams, 10.1 rating seems to be commitment on that point (it will just avoid dropping it!).

We do not dwell on the features offered by the device, because, as mentioned above, we find much the same thing about the future Samsung phone. Note still ten embedded applications accompanied by premium memberships for a limited time. Among them: Angry Birds 2, Dropbox, New York Times … Of course, the S Pen also calls on the tablet

us dwell a little on the technical characteristics of Note 10.1 because it is there that interests us most. We find an eight-core 1.9 GHz processor and 3 GB of RAM. We find an 8 megapixel camera on the rear (with LED flash) and another 2 megapixel on the front. Add to that a 8220 mAh battery Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It will be possible to enjoy a 4LTE connectivity but it will be at the expense of the processor that will become a quadra-core 2.3 GHz. Finally, note that you can choose between 16, 32 and 64 GB memory.

This tablet thus illustrated by its portability and extreme power. All the features that will make the future glory of Note 3 are also present on the Note 10.1, so its future looks rosy and the product seems to be of quality. Its output and its price is still a mystery.
