reported a week ago that the update to Android 4.2 for the Galaxy Note 2 was postponed. The reason behind this delay was apparently Samsung wanted to test some more the latest version of TouchWiz on the device. Today, Samsung has begun to launch a new update for the Galaxy Note 2 for a minor update of stability and it does not bring the much awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. The update today keeps the OS to Android version 4.1.2.
As mentioned above, this set update only brings improvements to stability. It solves some bugs, including those related to the consumption of the battery, as well as resolutions of other minor issues. Wearing a build dated May 31, this update is already available for download in most European countries via Samsung KIES or over-the-air to the device itself. Samsung said that Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Note 2 will be launched in the third quarter of 2013, but without giving a precise date of launch.
