FIFA has been quick to react to the announcement of the continued suspension of Michel Platini by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). “ With this decision, the CAS noted that FIFA has validated the procedure of the independent Ethics Commission ,” writes the instance in a statement on Friday. This suspension deprives Platini as president of UEFA and freezes his candidacy for the presidency of FIFA, in which the voting is expected on February 26 in Zurich. The internal justice FIFA hear Michel Platini on December 18, and then will make a decision before Christmas.
